Plum Health opens in Corktown’s “The Corner”
On December 12th, staff members of The Michigan Pedaler were fortunate enough to attend the Grand Opening ribbon cutting of Plum Health with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. Plum Health’s new office is located in The Corner at Michigan Avenue and Trumbull — just across the street from where The Michigan Pedaler starts our rides (McShane’s Irish Pub) and down the street from where we store our bikes.
Founded by Dr. Paul Thomas, Plum Health offers direct primary care, an innovative way to receive healthcare at an affordable rate.

What this means for the Corktown Community
Although Plum Health’s old office was just around the corner in Southwest Detroit, their new Corktown location can be a huge advantage for the Corktown residents. At The Corner, they are in the epicenter of Detroit’s most rapidly developing neighborhood. Members can walk right to their office, while they can now make house calls much more efficiently.

Meanwhile, Plum Health contributes to the growth and the healthiness of Corktown while growing their own business. To be as cost effective as possible, Plum Health doesn’t make money on services, but on the number of subscribing members. Their new Corktown location puts them in a great spot to grow with the community.
As members of the Corktown Business Association and as we try to contribute to the growth of Corktown and Detroit in our own way, The Michigan Pedaler wants to congratulate and welcome Plum Health! We’re really looking forward to being neighbors with the group that’s leading the way in rethinking healthcare. Good luck in your pursuit!
