We’re excited to announce the debut of the latest bike in our fleet.
But this one is a bit different than our popular top-ranked 15-passenger Party Bikes.
It’s smaller! Much smaller.
Introducing The Michigan Mini Pedaler, a six-seat Party Bike that’s ideal for smaller groups to experience the fun large groups have been enjoying on our big bikes for the past four summers. This bike has four seats for pedaling and a back bench that fits two.
“Everything that people have come to expect from ‘The Michigan Pedaler Experience’ is here on our Mini Pedaler, except its smaller,” said Michigan Pedaler owner, Mike Gill. “It’s a two-hour experience of celebrating good times throughout the city except it is for groups of two to six people. Playing music while enjoying snacks and beverages (including alcohol) while making stops for pictures, sights, and bars are all part of the typical Mini Pedaler itinerary.
Introductory priced at just $175 per rental for any day of the week, The Mini Pedaler is a fun and affordable way for a private tour around the city. (For a group of six, that’s less than $30 per person.) It also has electric assist to keep everyone feeling fresh while pedaling through the Detroit.
“We receive a lot of calls from people who don’t want to put a big group together,” said Operations Manager Nick Popovski. “This is now their chance to grab a few friends or have three couples spend a night together and have as much fun as they would on our bigger bikes.”
Having the ability to have a private rental is another big plus with the Mini Pedaler. “If people were to buy individual seats on tours, they need to follow the norms of a larger group, which is only fair,” said Gill. “Here, you have a private tour so it can’t be ruined by another outsider’s behavior. You listen to the music you want to listen to, craft the tour and locations to your liking, make the stops you want to make – not that you are forced to. It’s just your group. It’s your private party.”
We think this bike is perfect for tourists who are traveling for a weekend into Detroit – perhaps a family or two, or three couples.
All ages are welcome to ride the Mini Pedaler, which is the same policy as our larger party bikes.
Events and tours that are perfect for booking The Mini Pedaler include:
“Pulling together three to five additional friends is not as difficult a thing to do as planning a 15-person outing,” Popovski said. “I expect we’ll have a lot of people looking to book a day or two in advance when they are looking for ideas for something to do on a weeknight or weekend.”
Like the big bike, reservations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Payment is made at the time of the reservation and is non-refundable. We only have one Mini Pedaler available for rent, so be sure to book your date and time as soon as possible!
