The Michigan Pedaler, Detroit’s Favorite Party Bike, announced its promotions and plans for the 2023 season.
“We’re offering more opportunities for people to experience the fun of being on our party bike and seeing Detroit than ever before,” said Michigan Pedaler owner Mike Gill. “With our stable of 8 party bikes, including our unique Mini Pedaler, we have ability to accommodate groups of any size, including large corporate outings.”
This year, the Pedaler will introduce special promotions to help bring awareness to Detroit-based small businesses, a special mid-week price, promotions for guests to celebrate their birthday on the bike, and a comprehensive bachelorette package for those planning a bachelorette party on the bikes that travel through Downtown, Corktown and Midtown.
Here’s a summary of what’s new or planned for 2023 on The Michigan Pedaler.
In addition to all the promotions and special plans, all 15-passenger bikes have a newly added feature for 2023: seat backs. The custom-made seat backs alternate in the Michigan Pedaler’s orange and blue colors with the letters MP in the middle of each seat rest. “The seat backs provide an added benefit for our guests to relax and find comfort on our bikes” said Operations Manager Nick Popovski. The Pedaler continues to offer the most comfortable bike seats in the business, Cloud 9, but now they come equipped with seat backs.
Bachelorette Party Package
Visit The Michigan Pedaler’s launch area on a typical Saturday, and it is filled with bachelorettes, their mothers, future-mothers-in-law, friends and even grandmas ready to kickstart a fun two hours on the
party bikes that often is the start to a day (and night)’s worth of activities. “Our reputation is if you are looking for fun on a bachelorette party, contact The Michigan Pedaler,” said Popovski.
With that in mind and with so many bachelorettes visiting, The Michigan Pedaler is offering a Bachelorette Package. In addition to a two-hour ride, bachelorette parties can elect to save a lot of headaches for the bridesmaid in planning as well as money. The bachelorette package includes:
· One white t-shirt for the Bride-to-Be
· 14 colored t-shirts saying “Bride Ride” for her group.
· 15 matching plastic Michigan Pedaler drink cups
· 36 Mardi Gras necklaces
· 15 bachelorette sashes each with various sayings on them.
The cost to add the entire package to the ride is $175 (less than $12 per person)
On Tuesdays, The Michigan Pedaler will offer all rides at $250 private rentals for its fleet of Michigan Pedaler bikes. This includes daytime corporate outings. The $250 Tuesdays promotion is the “lowest price we’ve ever offered to ride our bikes,” said Gill. “It may be cheap but you still receive the full VIP Michigan Pedaler experience.” The $250 price tag averages out to less than $17 per person if 15 guests fill the bike.
Celebrate Birthdays on The Michigan Pedaler
In 2023, guests celebrating a birthday on The Michigan Pedaler will receive a FREE Michigan Pedaler t-shirt. “We celebrate literally hundreds of birthdays each year on our bikes. We decided they deserve a special gift,” said Popovski.
(Guests’ birthdays must fall within a one-week window of the ride. The birthday must be noted at the time of booking and proof of birthday must be shown at the time of check-in.)
To help promote and introduce Detroit small businesses to a wider audience, The Michigan Pedaler has designated 10 summer nights to introduce unique companies to its guests. Tickets will be sold via Eventbrite and each Wednesday a different business will be featured. In some cases, patrons will enjoy a ride with their favorite brands, while in others, they will use the ride to learn more about businesses they haven’t heard of or wish to learn more about. “It’s a unique way of introducing people from all over Metro-Detroit to the unique and special shops and businesses located in Detroit,” Gill said.
While each ride is different with a different agenda, many rides will hear from the owners of the business, visit the business, or possibly receive samples of the product. Typical of regular Pedaler rides, they’ll tour the city and make stops at attractions as well as bars.
Businesses interested in participating in this promotion should contact The Michigan Pedaler at 313.744.3272.
Again, The Michigan Pedaler will offer Buy-A-Seat options for small groups that wish to be part of a larger setting (versus renting our Mini-Pedaler which seats 2-6 people). Buy-A-Seats are for 1-11 people that don’t wish to purchase a private ride. Purchasing tickets for these events will be through Eventbrite. Rides will take place at a few different times during the season but there’s always a Sunday afternoon ride. Consult The Michigan Pedaler website or our Eventbrite page for the latest information.
All told, 2023 is shaping up to be the biggest season yet for The Michigan Pedaler. To learn more and to book The Michigan Pedaler, visit www.MichiganPedaler.com
