Another #Pedal4Charity Week is in the books! Last week, we hosted our Third Annual #Pedal4Charity Week, where charities and non-profit organizations use our bikes in order to help raise money and awareness for causes. We’re extremely proud to announce that between all 2019 #Pedal4Charity participants, over $10,000 was collectively raised.

#Pedal4Charity is an event that we look forward to every year. In three years of holding this event, organizations that used our bikes have raised over $35,000 combined. It is again an honor to help these worthy charities gain awareness and recognition for their causes.

One #Pedal4Charity Week participant was Hatch Detroit, a non-profit dedicated to helping other Detroit-based retail businesses not only to launch but hit the ground running and have a successful operation beyond their launch. Hatch Alumni include Batch Brewing, Detroit Institute of Bagels, and Sister Pie.
If you’ve spent time hanging out, eating, and shopping in Detroit, it’s extremely likely that you’ve been in a Hatch business. Of all the participating charities, Hatch raised the most money this year.
“We so appreciate the support Michigan Pedaler has given Hatch Detroit through their #Pedal4Charity campaign,” said Vittoria Katanski, Executive Director for Hatch Detroit. “Not only were we able to leverage the opportunity to raise funds for our organization, but the experience was also a great team building experience and a unique way to thank Hatch Detroit’s longer-term sponsors.”

Dearborn Special Olympic, I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven, and Kids on the Go, were a few of the many charities to participate in #Pedal4Charity Week. These organizations continue to do unbelievable work for our community and are integral in making metro-Detroit a great place to live.
Thank you to those who participated!

We’ll announce our 2020 plans for #Pedal4Charity in February and encourage all metro-Detroit charities to apply! In addition, we try to respond to the hundreds of charity requests that come in throughout the year and support as many of them as possible.
